Job Summary
Perform annual district-wide playground equipment safety inspections to monitor compliance with CPSC standards and Colorado School District requirements. Install, repair, and maintain playgrounds, play areas, courts, and support equipment while executing minor welding repairs. Diagnose repairs using blueprints and coordinates with site staff and shop personnel. Prioritize work orders, manage supplies through the District purchase order system, and cross-train in at least one other trade. Respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including snow removal efforts on a 24-hour on-call basis. Assist with and perform all functions of L2 and L3 level positions under the direction of senior technicians.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Colorado Driver's License
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Certification as a Certified Playground inspector from the National Playground Safety Association (NPSA)
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado
- Ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position
- Must have the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in several types of industrial welding to include oxy-acetylene and AC/DC arc welding
