Job Summary
Conduct scheduled and on-demand preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, doors, and electrical fixtures while escorting vendors. Complete assigned tasks safely using hand and power tools, documenting work via the HOST system or paper logs. Adhere to safety protocols such as lockout/tagout and ladder safety, reporting unsafe conditions immediately. Manage tool and material inventory, requesting parts through the Senior Technician. Escalate client concerns to the Engineering Manager without making independent commitments. Collaborate during high-volume periods and attend team briefings. Accept coaching and attend JLL trainings to stay updated on site procedures and emergency protocols. Support event logistics including furniture arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades, or technology
- Ability to carry out scheduled and on-demand maintenance on building systems including lighting, plumbing, HVAC components, doors, locks, ceilings, and minor electrical fixtures
- Ability to escort vendors
- Ability to complete assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
- Ability to use HOST system or paper logs to document work performed, parts used, and time spent
- Ability to follow all safety procedures
- Ability to wear required PPE
- Ability to adhere to lockout/tagout, ladder safety, and chemical handling protocols
- Ability to report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents immediately
- Ability to use hand and power tools properly
- Ability to return tools clean and in good condition
- Ability to request parts, supplies, or equipment through a Senior Technician
- Ability to escalate client concerns or special requests to LM/Engineering Manager
- Ability to participate in team briefings
- Ability to follow instructions clearly and consistently
- Ability to accept coaching and feedback from LM/Engineering Manager
- Ability to attend JLL trainings
- Knowledge of site-specific procedures
- Knowledge of equipment locations
- Knowledge of emergency protocols
- Ability to work in a Remote –Shanghai, China location
