Job Summary
Perform instrument & control installation, repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment and fixtures to ensure efficient operation with minimum downtime while following EHS guidelines. Attend to instrument & control breakdowns and planned/preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnose instrument breakdowns, calibrate equipment per schedule, order spare parts via SAP, monitor recurring issues and implement modifications, and train/guide new instrument mechanics to be fully equipped for maintenance tasks. Requires knowledge of electrical/electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic devices, reading engineering drawings, and staying current with plant safety practices.
Required Qualifications
- Higher secondary or diploma
- Experience with maintenance tools
- Knowledge of plant safety
- Experience in power or desalination plant maintenance
- Instrumentation calibration (pressure, temperature, level, flow)
- Pneumatic & Hydraulic valve actuation systems
- CO2 Fire Protection systems
- Infrared Gas Detection systems
- Ability to read engineering drawings and manuals
- SAP experience for spare-parts ordering
- Ability to work under time/technical pressure
- Willingness to work on shift
