Job Summary
Hazardous materials removal technician role focused on removing asbestos/lead and other hazardous substances from industrial, commercial, and residential sites. Responsibilities include aiding demolition/renovation, thoroughly cleaning contaminated areas with steam cleaners and solvents, operating power tools, and ensuring proper site cleanup so no residue remains. Requires travel regionally 3-5 days per week, with per diem during travel and adherence to safety protocols. Strong emphasis on safety training and ability to lift up to 50 pounds; valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle are required. Prior experience with hazardous materials and demolition/construction is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working with hazardous materials
- Knowledge of how to use various power tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be willing to travel 3-5 days per week
- Daily per diem when traveling
- Must have valid drivers license and dependable vehicle
