Job Summary
Conduct precision assembly, qualification, installation, and commissioning of detector systems for the ATLAS HL-LHC Upgrade and LBNF/DUNE experiments. Operate complex laboratory equipment including microscopes, wirebonders, and metrology machines while assembling delicate components in a cleanroom environment. Provide specialized mechanical and electrical support such as machining high-precision components, building cryogenic systems, and constructing test stands. Maintain inventory records and follow documented quality assurance procedures with minimal supervision. Some domestic and international travel is expected. This fully onsite position at Brookhaven National Laboratory supports the U.S. ATLAS Operations Program and requires a BS degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
