Job Summary
Perform advanced chemical cleaning, stripping, etching, coating, and surface treatment on semiconductor chamber components within UCT's Advanced Technology Cleaning Centers. Operate assigned chemline equipment, monitor tank chemistries, and collect SPC measurements to ensure adherence to ultra-high-purity contamination control standards. Troubleshoot routine process, chemistry, and equipment issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield and throughput. Assist in training Technician I and Technician II employees and maintain assigned work areas in accordance with 6S and housekeeping standards. Works in a cleanroom environment handling hazardous chemicals daily; requires ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in a technical field
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing, chemical processing, semiconductor, coating, plating, surface treatment, contamination control, or related technical experience
- Ability to kneel, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp
- Ability to stand for LONG PERIODS of time
- Lift up to 40 lbs. on a consistent basis
- Work with hazardous chemicals daily
- Must be able to read and comprehend directions
- Must be able to hear and speak to communicate with co-workers
- Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in a technical field preferred
- Experience operating chemical process equipment and handling hazardous chemicals preferred
- Experience with SPC measurements, process control, and production documentation preferred
- Semiconductor chamber-part cleaning, coating, refurbishment, or cleanroom experience strongly preferred
- Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, or continuous improvement experience is a plus
