Job Summary
Lead on-site inspections, audit technician work, and train subcontractors on reliable quality installations for customer sites. Perform installation and service work based on schedule, conduct job walks to identify obstacles, and submit materials lists for potential new work. Act as the primary point of escalation for clients, resolving issues directly or escalating to the FSS and Project Manager as needed. Provide regular updates to PMO, Resource Center, and Service Center via email and ticket deliverables. Maintain company vehicle and tools, complete administrative job requirements, and cross-train business partners in specific client or product knowledge. Requires BICSI Installer 2 certifications, proficiency in networking and security systems, and ability to travel for long-term projects.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of two years as a Technician Two or equivalent experience
- Ability to operate network certifiers
- Proficiency in eight of ten areas of focus: Voice, Data, Fire Alarm, Fiber, Burg Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Digital Signage, Access Points, Networking
- BICSI Installer 2 Copper certification
- BICSI Installer 2 Fiber certification
- LIFT certification
- OSHA30 certification
- Demonstrated knowledge in key areas as outlined by management
- Completion of product specific trainings (CommScope, Leviton, AXIS)
- Willingness to travel to support Telaid's business
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders to reach overhead ceiling areas and lift up to 45 lbs
- Flexibility to work varying shifts based on business needs
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-starter with initiative and problem-solving skills
- Self-control to handle stress
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Availability to work outside of normal scheduled work hours
