Technician III - Sanitation

Drive sanitation trucks along assigned routes to collect and load waste, operating mechanisms to secure loads and ensuring they are balanced and contained. Maneuver vehicles in traffic while monitoring the environment for safety, flagging and directing traffic at work sites as needed. Perform general cleaning and maintenance on equipment, including inspecting, refueling, greasing, and washing tools to maintain operability. Train less experienced staff and assist with routes and emergency weather events. Communicate with supervisors, employees, and the public to coordinate activities and report incidents. Maintain a valid South Carolina Class B CDL and one year of experience hauling waste.
