Job Summary
Technician III - Equipment (Implant) performs routine and preventive maintenance on production ion implant equipment in a Wafer Fab setting, including starting/stopping equipment within design limits, troubleshooting electrical/mechanical issues, rebuilding sub-assemblies and vacuum systems, and supporting verification testing. The role requires reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, operating test equipment (oscilloscopes, DVMs, current/voltage sources, chart recorders), and using helium leak detection equipment. The technician will work both independently and in a team, contribute to preventive maintenance schedules, and learn to leverage process measurement data to assess quality of work. Preferred candidates have an AS technical degree or electronics/military electronics certificate, strong electronics/mechanics/vacuum theory knowledge, basic computer skills for monitoring systems and updating checklists, and a collaborative mindset geared toward achieving common goals. Shift is Modified 1st (7am-7:12pm), with 0%-25% travel. The role is eligible for a comprehensive compensation package including base pay, bonuses, benefits, and ESPP opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years’ work-related experience/training
- AS technical degree, electronics or Military electronics certificate preferred
- Practical knowledge and application of electronics, mechanics, vacuum theory, safety and clean room protocol, and IC Fabrication
- Knowledge of basic computer skills to monitor/update equipment status and interact with systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, flow charts and cause and effect diagrams
- Ability to operate and interpret output of test equipment (oscilloscopes, DVMs, current/voltage sources, chart recorders)
- Ability to learn and adhere to company/dept policies
- Teamwork/Customer Satisfaction: works well with different teams; willing to support coworkers

- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs; sit/stand/walk percentages as described
