Job Summary
This role involves daily operations and maintenance of wind turbines, requiring climbing of multiple wind towers and extensive travel. Candidates must demonstrate a strong safety-first attitude and accurately perform installation, inspection, and repair work on wind turbines. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, performing routine maintenance, testing components, and effectively interacting with customers and coworkers. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, a year of relevant work experience, and an active TWIC card, with relevant technical training preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) or ability to obtain it
- Minimum one (1) year's experience working in and around wind turbines for troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
- Valid Driver's License (CDL Preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- Technical 2 or 4-year degree or certificate in wind energy or related field
- Experience using basic power and hydraulic tools
- Basic computer operation skills and familiarity with internet-based program navigation
Additional Requirements
- Must comply with client safety requirements (e.g., clean-shaven, long sleeves, steel-toe boots)
- Must pass a physical exam if required
