Job Summary
As a Technician II, perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbines; interpret fault reports, maintain power generation reports and service logs; work independently on electrical and mechanical components; assist with implementing Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program. Responsibilities include supporting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repairs, completing work orders and checklists, recognizing wind turbine error codes, replacing major turbine components (e.g., generators and gearboxes), and assisting with high-voltage system maintenance. Adhere to safety policies, complete required documentation, and maintain general safety from LOTO procedures. Ongoing training and development are emphasized within a strong, safety-focused team culture.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years’ experience as a Wind Turbine Technician
- Valid driver’s license (non CDL or CDL) with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret documents, follow safety rules and procedures
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Must pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening
- Climb wind turbines up to 300 ft and work in extreme conditions
