Job Summary
Technician II - Vegetation Management role focusing on vegetation control along GRDA power line easements and facilities. Responsibilities include applying herbicides in compliance with EPA/state regulations, maintaining records of chemicals used, and operating heavy equipment (side trimmers, hydro-ax, skid steers, 4-wheel drive tractors with brush hog, chain saws) to cut and trim trees and vegetation along right-of-ways. Includes right-of-way restoration tasks (repairing ruts, reseeding, fence/gate work), adherence to safety rules, and attending training to maintain licenses. Position located in Pryor, Oklahoma; travel 4-5 days per week is required. Requires Certified Herbicide Applicator license (category 6) and Oklahoma Class A CDL.
Required Qualifications
- Two years' experience in the craft to which assigned
- Certified Herbicide Applicator’s License (category 6)
- Oklahoma Class A CDL
- Willingness to travel for overnight stay, 4-5 days per week, months at a time
