Job Summary
Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pest control products safely while following assigned routes to complete daily scheduled services. Evaluate lawn conditions for grass health, soil quality, and pest issues to determine appropriate treatments, then educate customers on maintenance best practices and observed problems. Operate and maintain application equipment like sprayers and spreaders, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues. Document all treatments, chemical usage, and application rates in accurate service logs submitted to the Service Manager. Monitor inventory levels, notify management of supply needs, and handle chemicals responsibly in compliance with state and federal regulations. Maintain required certifications and licenses for chemical application.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to complete company-provided training on safety and chemical application practices
- Maintain certifications or licenses required for chemical application
- Maintain accurate records of treatments performed, chemicals used, and application rates
- Submit daily service logs and reports to the Service Manager
- Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Handle chemicals responsibly, adhering to state and federal regulations as well as company standards
- Clean, inspect, and perform routine maintenance on application equipment to ensure reliability and safety
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed
