Job Summary
Examine and test filters, hybrids, VCOs, and IMAs for dimensional and performance specifications using precision instruments. Troubleshoot products, equipment, and process issues while performing acceptance testing, documenting fixtures, and updating process documentation. Assist engineers by building or procuring test equipment and conducting testing and process validations. Work closely with engineering and operations to support and improve manufacturing processes, interpret test schedules and schematics, and tune units using signal generators and network analyzers. Identify flaws, assist in failure analysis and rework of non-conforming products, and promote Lean Manufacturing activities. Record defects and assist in training other technicians.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, associate degree or Equivalent
- 1-3 years in a related field
- Electrical Engineering or Technology OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of test equipment like Network analyzers, Spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.
- Ability to read technical schematics, blueprints and electrical drawings
- Able to do basic math in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Able to sit at work station/microscope 8+ hours per day
- Lift and/or move 25 pounds
