Job Summary
The Technician II NDT independently performs inspections using various nondestructive testing methods to identify corrosion, defects, or detrimental conditions. Responsibilities include maintaining NDT certification, interpreting inspection results, assisting and instructing apprentice personnel, and adhering to safety standards. Candidates must possess at least a high school diploma and a minimum of two years of experience in the NDT field as a certified technician in at least two methods. Proficiency in basic math, Microsoft Word, and the ability to communicate effectively in English are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 yrs experience in NDT field as a certified technician in at least 2 methods
- Understanding of basic math
- Ability to work in Microsoft Word
- Ability to work with computers / computerized equipment
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English
- Ability to handle chemicals in a safe manner
- Ability to follow instructions
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Certification to Level II in a minimum of one NDT method (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET)
Additional Requirements
- Travel requirement; 0-75%
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection
