Job Summary
Follow direction from Lead Technicians to perform construction repairs, move client contents, and haul materials while adhering to code regulations and safety protocols. Determine equipment and materials usage to expedite job completion, assist in maintaining company vehicles, and complete time reporting paperwork. Attend mandatory safety briefings, wear required PPE including respiratory protection, and operate hand and power tools. Physically fit to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance and work in field environments involving potential exposure to chemicals and biological hazards. Work after hours and weekends as part of 24/7 operations, reporting directly to the Branch Manager.
Required Qualifications
- One year minimum work experience in a construction or similar work environment
- General understanding of basic safety protocols
- Physically fit to perform duties described above
- May require valid driver's license
- Possess dexterity, good sense of balance, good eye/hand coordination
- Approved Respirator physical and fit testing
- Good understanding on use of hand tools, power tools and mild chemicals
- Ability to read and understand basic written instructions
- Use of good judgement works well under pressure
- Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100lbs. with assistance
- Ability to perform tasks that require, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, climb, squat, crawl, lift above shoulder, reach, and twist
- Prolonged sitting or standing required (in office, driving and/or at job sites). Regular alternating between sitting and standing
- Continuous repetitive motion and tasks involving L/R hand movement (computer/mouse), wrists, or arms (e.g., typing, data entry)
- Capacity to operate machinery and tools as required by job tasks, which may involve fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Requirement for clear vision (e.g., close work, computer use, eye hand coordination)
- Work after hours and weekends given our 24/7 business operations
- May include travel to and from job sites, requiring the use of company and/or personal vehicles. Possibility of attending out-of-town trainings, meetings, or conferences
Desired Qualifications
- Good grasp of English language (written and verbal) is a plus
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately to Lead Technician or Superintendent when necessary
