Technician II, Fast Turn Pools (Weekday Overnight)

Job Summary
Perform synthesis, cleavage, deprotection, formulation, and final packaging of synthetic DNA products according to customer orders. Accurately use work instructions to determine production flow and operate lab equipment while performing maintenance and troubleshooting. Execute lab cleaning and decontamination protocols using Maintenance Connection software. Report to the Supervisor within the Fast Turn Pools Value Stream in Coralville, IA. Schedule Monday through Thursday, 9:00 pm to 7:30 am, with shift differential. Requires high school diploma, some lab experience, and proficiency in PC software including Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Some laboratory experience
- Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to exert 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 10-15 lbs. of force frequently
- Travel
- Motor Vehicle Record
- Physical/Environment Requirement
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree, in related field
- 12 months of lab experience
- Life Science work experience
- Extensive computer skills which include knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Excel
