Job Summary
Technician II in Fast Turn Pools at IDT (Coralville, IA) performs the synthesis and formulation of synthetic DNA according to customer orders, including synthesis, cleavage, deprotection, formulation, and final packaging. Uses lab equipment and adheres to cleaning/decontamination protocols; follows work instructions and Maintenance Connection software. On-site role with Monday–Thursday, 9:00pm–7:30am shifts (shift differential applies). Requires high school diploma/GED or equivalent and some laboratory experience; associate/bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. The role supports production flow decisions, equipment operation, and maintaining quality standards within a fast-turn environment, contributing to genomics research and life sciences applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Some laboratories experience
- 12 months of lab experience; Life Science work experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree, in related field, preferred
- Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
