Job Summary
Technician II - Fabrication responsible for crafting and modifying tools/processes to improve safety, quality, and efficiency; duties include fabricating/welding/assembling custom workstations, performing inventory counts, supporting automation projects, updating safety guards, building manufacturing job aids, and reading blueprints; requires fabrication skills, welding experience, ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings, 5S, safety compliance, bilingual English/Spanish, and forklift operation. Must have a Trade School Certificate or Apprenticeship completion and at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting; capable of lifting up to 60 lbs and working in a hot/cold production environment; strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Trade School Certificate or completion of an Apprenticeship
- Minimum of three (3) years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment including welding and fabrication
- Must be able to operate a sit-down forklift
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (read, speak, and comprehend both languages)
- Math skills: able to perform basic arithmetic
- Physical demands: can lift up to 60 lbs; standing/walking; ability to work in hot/cold environments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches
- Strong safety and PPE adherence
- Welding and fabrication capabilities
- Familiarity with inventory control and tooling
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic system knowledge
