Job Summary
Safely apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pest control products while evaluating lawn conditions to diagnose issues and execute treatment plans. Operate and maintain application equipment such as sprayers and spreaders, ensuring proper calibration and routine maintenance. Follow assigned routes to complete daily scheduled services, documenting treatments, chemical usage, and application rates in accurate service logs. Provide professional customer interactions by answering service questions, educating clients on lawn maintenance best practices, and communicating complex concerns to the Service Manager. Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper PPE use and state/federal chemical handling regulations. Maintain required applicator licenses and submit daily reports to management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to complete company-provided training on safety and chemical application practices
- Maintain certifications or licenses required for chemical application
- Maintain accurate records of treatments performed, chemicals used, and application rates
- Submit daily service logs and reports to the Service Manager
- Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Handle chemicals responsibly, adhering to state and federal regulations as well as company standards
- Clean, inspect, and perform routine maintenance on application equipment to ensure reliability and safety
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed
