Job Summary
The Technician II delivers on-site ice machine installation, cleaning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair to maximize equipment life and minimize service calls. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving technical issues on first visit, coordinating installation/repair tasks, training less experienced technicians, maintaining truck stock and company vehicles, documenting actions with photos and reports, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely completion of work orders per SOPs. The role requires high-energy, customer-focused, flexible leadership in a fast-paced service environment, and may involve leading installations and mentoring teammates. The position emphasizes on-site field work, coordination with customers, and maintaining accurate service records while upholding Easy Ice brand standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- EPA 2 Certification
- 1+ year experience diagnosing and repairing commercial equipment (refrigeration, electrical, HVAC, ice machines, or related)
- Ability to work full-time schedule including rotating on-call
- Strong communication skills with customers and team members
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and proactive maintenance
- Documentation of service activities and clear records
- Vehicle operation and on-site service experience
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and service protocols
- Safety protocols adherence
