Job Summary

Sanitation Tech I on 3rd shift at Flagstone Foods is responsible for supporting the sanitation food safety program by cleaning and sanitizing plant equipment and facilities in accordance with SSOPs, FDA, and OSHA requirements. Responsibilities include operating wash areas (pan washer, manual cleaning), assembling/disassembling equipment for cleaning, performing cleaning tasks per SSOPs, identifying equipment needing deep cleaning, safely using cleaning chemicals, performing basic janitorial duties, reporting safety, food safety, and quality concerns, and complying with safety and food safety policies. Requires ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with the physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs and work 10:30pm–7:00am. Required Qualifications

  • 1-year minimum working with production equipment or 1 year working in a food plant as a sanitor cleaning equipment/machine
  • Basic knowledge of pre-rinse/wash/rinse/sanitize steps
  • Basic knowledge of top-down washing sequence for proper food safety
  • Basic knowledge of sanitation chemical usage
  • Basic knowledge of lockout/tagout programs
  • Ability to learn how to clean all plant lines
  • Ability to prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team to complete assigned tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
