Technician I - Quality Assurance

Job Summary
Conduct line monitoring of all production lines, recording measurements and weights while placing product on hold or stopping lines if quality issues arise. Perform daily plant walk-throughs to audit GMP and food safety compliance, and execute lab testing for moisture, pH, and tta. Assist in updating production aids such as HACCP and GMP guidelines, maintain detailed records, and deliver training to employees. Secure samples for customer complaint evaluation and manage freezer inventories to flag near-expiry items. Notify supervision of required repairs and ensure strict adherence to color-coded container policies and American Institute of Baking standards. Inform management immediately of any non-compliant processes or quality issues and initiate corrective actions for nonconforming products. Report to Assistant Manager, 1st shift in Robersonville, NC; requires flexibility for OT, holidays, weekends, and shift rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED certificate
- at least 6 months experience on a manufacture work environment
- ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- proficiency with Microsoft programs such as word and excel required (data entry)
- ability to make conversions from Metric to English standards for weights
- flexible schedule and be willing to work OT/Holidays/Weekends with the ability to go to any shift depending on the production demands
- ability to lift/carry 25 to 50 lbs
- Be independently mobile
- Use a computer and keyboard
- Regularly sit, stand, walk, reach, stretch, stoop, bend, for extended periods
- Ability to communicate with others both verbally and in writing
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of all types of nuts and allergens processed through the machine preferred
- Basic math skills strongly preferred: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentages
