Job Summary
QC Sample Management Technician (Night Shift) at Bristol Myers Squibb. Responsible for movement and control of QC samples and materials (in-process, finished drug product, characterization, retain, and stability) including collection, distribution, inventory control, chain of custody, tracking, and delivery. Rotating 12-hour night shift (6 PM–6 AM) with every-other weekend and holiday coverage; requires flexibility for irregular hours and overtime. Educated with an Associate’s degree in Chemistry/Microbiology or a high school diploma/GED with 2+ years of related GMP-experience. Duties focus on handling test samples, cold chain transfers, labeling, sample tracking, and maintaining regulatory-compliant records; includes collaboration with management and cross-functional teams in a GMP laboratory environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology or related science; or a high school diploma/GED with 2+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a regulated environment
- Experience with cold chain sample storage and transfer in a GMP regulated environment is desirable
- Knowledge of basic electronic systems (email, MS Office)
- Experience with LIMS and ELN computer applications preferred
- Able to perform light to moderate lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs
- Knowledge of regulatory standards as they apply to GMP laboratories is preferred
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage deadlines
- Ability to work in a high-paced team environment and communicate effectively with peers and management
