Job Summary
Ensure self and coworkers comply with all safety rules and regulations including LOTO, fall protection, and hot work. Operate Baggers, Printers, CSMAs, Weighers, and Box Formers while performing uptime and downtime inspections, lubrications, and predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; dismantle and reassemble complex machinery. Create work orders in the CMMS, document work performed, and assist operators with training. Clear bin jams, perform minor roller rebuilds, and escalate technical issues to supervisors. This entry-level Technician I role supports the Maintenance Mechanic Team at Wonderful Citrus, where you will work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and rotating schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and present general business items to groups of coworkers, managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and rotating/varying shifts
- Availability for emergency call-out
- Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 12 hour shift
- Ability to drive vehicles
- Ability to climb on a ladder or scaffolding to heights in excess of 10', balance, and work above the shoulders frequently
- Ability to bend/stoop, kneel, crouch, and squat frequently for extended periods of time
- Ability to use both hands for frequent grasping and occasional fine manipulation and fingering
- Ability to occasionally carry and lift up to 50 pounds above the shoulders
- Ability to occasionally push or pull various items, such as equipment, filters, motors, tools, and compressors pumps up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to tolerate required personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes, work gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, dust masks, and safety harnesses on a continuous basis
Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree and three years or more of related experience and/or training in a production/manufacturing environment
