Job Summary
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation issues, and repair systems to support safe operations. Review equipment history and maintenance records to identify recurring issues, read mechanical drawings and schematics, and respond to downtime events using established procedures. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve equipment problems, maintain accurate documentation during shift handoffs, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and 5S3R standards while working rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Ability to use common hand and power tools safely
- Basic computer skills for entering work orders and reviewing maintenance documentation
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms when required
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including: Safety glasses, Steel-toed footwear, Hearing protection, Protective gloves, Additional PPE as required by the work area
Desired Qualifications
- Technical certificate, vocational training, or coursework in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, mechatronics, manufacturing, or a related field
- Exposure to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or conveyor systems
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs
- Experience using CMMS or MES software
