Job Summary
Technician I- Equipment in Central Cleans at Microchip Technology in Colorado Springs provides technical support to fab areas by cleaning, assembling, staging, and tracking preventive maintenance parts. Responsibilities include disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling subassemblies, following safety protocols and PPE requirements, performing preventive maintenance on Central Clean equipment, contributing to procedure development and area improvements, collaborating with Equipment engineers and technicians to identify improvements, operating hoods, ovens, and bead blasters, and applying diagnostic techniques to identify and resolve equipment issues. Requires high school diploma or GED, strong communication, attention to detail, ability to work independently or in a team, and willingness to travel up to 25%. Pay range for the role is $19-27 per hour, with benefits including health, retirement plans, and equity incentives; shift is back days (Thu, Fri, Sat, alternating Wed 7am-7:12pm).
Required Qualifications

- Able to don proper PPE while performing everyday tasks in the area

- Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and ability to learn operational concepts
