Job Summary
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, lubrication, and minor repairs on industrial equipment, trucks, trailers, and automobiles. Perform quality inspections following assigned checklists, document repair operations and time tracking, and requisition parts as necessary. Wear appropriate PPE, report safety violations immediately, and comply with company policies and federal regulations. May be required to drive a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight not exceeding 26,000 pounds. Wash trucks and equipment, maintain shop cleanliness, and attend all training sessions for continuing education. Learn basic mechanical techniques, torques, and procedures while demonstrating aptitude for maintaining and repairing equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess own basic tools or the ability to acquire tools upon hire
- Mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrated aptitude for maintaining and repairing equipment
- Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
- Ability to learn basic computer skills to communicate document daily work and progress, track procurements and repair status
- Ability to pay attention to detail and remain alert to ensure safety
- Ability to understand and follow instructions and to communicate with co-workers
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Class C driver's license
- Safe driving record for the past three years
