Job Summary
Repair and maintain all types of rental equipment, including driving to machine locations to handle field service calls. Disassemble units to inspect parts for wear and repair, overhaul, or replace components such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, bearings, carburetors, blowers, generators, starters, pumps, and distributors. Address radiator leaks and adjust headlights, radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers while working knowledge of ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels. Realign and adjust brakes, write service reports, and order parts. Requires a valid Class C driver's license with a clean D.M.V. report and high school education or five years of equipment experience.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write service reports
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be available to work in outside weather conditions
- Must be able to work near moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Must be able to be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
- Must be able to work in high, precarious places
