Job Summary
Complete Sysmex Field Service Technician training over nine months, traveling frequently across U.S. service districts to work with mentors and assist with service tasks. Upon program completion, provide service support by installing, maintaining, and repairing diagnostic instruments while identifying and analyzing problems to meet repair specifications. Perform pre-installation site surveys, scheduled maintenance, and modifications per Technical Service Bulletin and Engineering Change Request processes. Monitor communication devices during scheduled times and document all service activities, inventory, and expense reports. Support existing customer sites and work cross-functionally to ensure total resolution. Maintain parts inventory, manage expenses within guidelines, and meet on-time and labor hour goals for installations and repairs.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or 0-3 years required experience in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Clinical Laboratory Science which may include experience in the Armed Forces
- Electronics and/or laboratory science
- Completion of Sysmex-certified instrument training
- A valid driver's license or ability to obtain one, within 90 days
- Must be willing to relocate to any of our service districts throughout the U.S.
- General computer knowledge in a Windows environment
- Basic knowledge of LIS systems and interfacing principles
- Must be able to explain in simple and understandable terms complex technical information associated with Sysmex instrument systems
- Outstanding listening skills, patience and understanding
- Demonstrated presentation and influence skills
- Team orientation; demonstrated facilitation skills
- Maintaining stable performance under pressure or opposition
- Ability to maintain a high energy level and positive attitude
- Relevant Experience within the industry including experience working with Sysmex Products
- Excellent command of English, both verbal and written
- Proof of current vaccinations for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), and COVID-19
- Must reside near a major airport
Desired Qualifications
- Second language (Spanish, French or Portuguese)
- Basic knowledge of LIS systems and interfacing principles desirable
