Job Summary
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on AutoStore systems, including remote diagnostics, troubleshooting of PLC and basic software issues, and delivering customer training. Act as a trusted advisor by promoting products, identifying business opportunities, and generating leads while maintaining accurate administrative records for service reports and spare parts inventory. Travel to customer sites across the Birmingham and Midlands regions to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and deliver high-quality service within agreed timescales. Requires valid UK driving licence, ability to work at heights, and experience interfacing mechatronic machines with warehouse management systems.
Required Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence
- Comfortable travelling to customer sites
- Comfortable and able to work at heights
- Good general standard of education and background as Mechanic/ Electronic / Electrical Engineering
- CompTIA A+ of similar experience
- Experience in field customer service
- Familiar with diagnostic methods
- Basic computer skills
- Technical / mechanical / electronic experience
- Experience with interfacing and integrating of mechatronic machines into software systems like warehouse management and ERP
- Experience in industrial communication (Field bus, Ethernet, etc.)
- Understanding the importance onsite health and safety
- Do you speak English fluently
- Do you have the legal right to live and work in the UK
