Job Summary
Technician Fiber Installation responsibilities include installing, disconnecting, reconnecting, adding, changing, and troubleshooting fiber optic internet and telephone services per guidelines; installing, setting up and configuring all equipment; identifying and addressing customer-perceived issues; reviewing services with customers to ensure understanding; educating customers on product usage; maintaining and stocking vehicles and equipment; and performing overtime, travel, and on-call duties as needed. The role requires driving, physical effort (lifting >55 lbs), and ability to work in all weather and remote locations. The position is based in Tempe, AZ with field responsibilities and travel as part of normal duties. Company emphasizes hands-on training and equal opportunity employment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), with acceptable driving record
- Ability to operate vehicle and heavy machinery and to perform physically demanding tasks in various conditions
