Job Summary
Support manufacturing, production, material handling, and quality activities across multiple areas by adhering to safety procedures and delivering products on time. Operate assigned equipment for setup, loading, catching, trimming, wrapping, banding, assembly, and roll-forming tasks while performing material handling duties like stacking and moving goods. Monitor machine output, assist operators with troubleshooting, and complete fabrication tasks using hand and power tools. Maintain clean work areas, train new hires on procedures, and ensure quality control is performed at each center. Cross-train in additional production areas and identify process improvements to drive efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or fabrication
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, or production equipment
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift materials or tools weighing up to 55 pounds
- Ability to work in loud, non-temperature-controlled environments exposed to outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by site policy
- Ability to perform fine motor skills including reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and bending
- Ability to climb, crawl, and sit occasionally
- Ability to interact with machinery, moving objects, and vehicles
- Ability to travel up to 5% depending on business needs
