Job Summary
Join NewYork-Presbyterian as a Technician Electrophysiology in a high-volume EP lab setting. Responsible for assisting physicians with setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment used for diagnostic and interventional EP procedures. Prepare patients for procedures, provide instruction to patients and families, serve as an educational resource for staff, and regularly evaluate lab technology with an aim to improve performance and patient satisfaction. Requires on-site presence within commutable distance to NYP; the role emphasizes experiences with EP lab devices, cardiovascular physiology, and delivering high-quality patient care. Preferred: 1 year EP lab experience and RCES or RCIS credentials; required: BCLS/ACLS within 3 months of hire. }
Required Qualifications
- BCLS and ACLS Certifications within 3 months of hire
- High School Diploma/GED
- Completion of accredited program in cardiac electrophysiology, cardiovascular technology or equivalent education and experience
- Demonstrated experience in EP Lab devices and equipment
- Knowledge of hemodynamics and cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
