Job Summary
Conduct Cardiac and Vascular Ultrasound procedures including Echocardiograms, TEE, StressEchoes, Carotid, Venous, and Arterial duplex exams according to departmental policies. Obtain pertinent patient history, interpret ultrasound images and technical data, and complete accurate, timely documentation of each procedure. Ensure proper recording, confidentiality, and transmission of patient medical information while promoting teamwork with physicians and other departments. Perform duties on a PRN basis from Sunday to Monday with varying hours.
Required Qualifications
- Registered in both Adult Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound
- Up to 5 years of experience in adult echocardiography and vascular ultrasound, preferred
- Comprehensive computer knowledge & skills
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret the patient's medical record
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from medical staff, managers, patients, families, and the general public
- Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff
- The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift
