Job Summary
The Diesel Technician will diagnose and repair vehicle components, ensuring accurate and efficient completion of major repairs. Key responsibilities include performing unsupervised work on major repair orders according to dealership standards, conducting diagnostics and troubleshooting for non-typical vehicle issues, and providing technical guidance to technicians. The role emphasizes maintaining safety in the work environment, engaging in ongoing training, and documenting all work thoroughly. Strong time management and organizational skills are critical, alongside the ability to handle a fast-paced service operation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination
- Must possess a current and valid driver's license
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- DOT Inspection Experience
- Must be neat in appearance, punctual, and a team player
- Possess good communication skills
- Must be able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities
- Must be physically capable of performing the duties of technician
Desired Qualifications
- ASE certifications
- Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of International Truck / IC Bus and supplier product
- Be able to use the International Service Portal when required
- Working knowledge of standard diagnostic software
- Own a complete set of tools
