Job Summary
Perform diagnostic tests, inspections, and repairs on vehicles; identify mechanical problems using visual checks and computer diagnostic equipment; inspect systems per manufacturer guidelines and state regulations; follow diagnosis protocols to determine parts needing repair or replacement; repair or replace components such as brakes, water pumps, belts, and transmissions; complete preventative maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements; conduct post-repair testing to verify proper operation; document conditions and remedies on repair orders with professional language; maintain clean, safe work areas and adhere to dealership procedures; pursue ongoing technical training (manufacturer bulletins, ASE/OEM certifications) and maintain paperwork; benefits include health, vision, dental, life/disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and paid leave; full-time position with competitive hourly wages and growth opportunities; must have knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of vehicle/engine repair
- Possess a valid driver license
- Proficient with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software
- ASE certification, OEM certification, associate’s degree in auto maintenance and repair preferred
