Job Summary
Technician C performs mechanical repair and maintenance tasks including brakes, rotors, fluid exchanges, oil changes, transmission and differential work, and cooling system maintenance, as well as tire service and related duties. Communicates with customers to educate them on preventive maintenance, documents all work, road tests vehicles, keeps shop orderly, maintains tools, and complies with safety and regulatory standards. Requires at least two years of related experience, ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents, and a valid driver’s license (plus state emission and vehicle inspector certifications if applicable). Work is conducted on-site at Ingleside, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine tickets, notes and other correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers
- Valid Driver's License
- State Emission Certification- if applicable in your state
- State Vehicle Inspector Certification- if applicable in your state
