Job Summary
Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections. Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items while using the Lockout/Tagout system. Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and input air handler schedules on computers. Carry equipment, operate shut-off valves, and perform landscaping repairs. Follow all safety policies, report hazards, and ensure a professional appearance. Complete daily activity reports to other shifts using approved communication programs.
Required Qualifications
- Driver's License
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to lift heavier objects with assistance
- Must be able to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders
- Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
