Tech-Advisor at VIP combines service-writer and installation technician responsibilities to deliver an exceptional customer experience and VIP program execution. The role requires providing customer consultations at the counter, performing service-writing tasks, taking work orders, and completing required services in the shop per VIP standards. Certifications and licenses are emphasized (ASE certifications across multiple areas, specialty certifications such as BATS and TPMS, and a State Inspection License where applicable). The position includes maintaining safety standards, participating in LMS and vendor trainings, engaging customers to educate them about vehicle conditions and recommended solutions, and collaborating with management and teammates to meet performance targets. The role also covers facility and equipment maintenance, adherence to the service code of ethics, and participation in regular meetings and training sessions. The standard workweek is 5 days, 40 hours, with hourly pay.
