Job Summary
Tech-Advisor combines service writer and installation technician duties to deliver an exceptional customer experience at the counter and in the shop. The role supports VIP programs and standards, collaborates with team members, completes safety training, maintains facility/equipment, and achieves connected targets through customer engagement and billed hours. Requires ASE-related certifications (C1, P2, G1, A4, A5 or equivalents), TPMs/BATS certification readiness, LMS and vendor training, and knowledge of vehicle inspection processes and service-writing procedures. Strong communication skills, organizational ability, and adherence to service codes of ethics are essential. The position is characterized by a 5-day, 40-hour work week in a Tilton, NH service environment, with responsibilities spanning customer consultation, documentation, certificate/educational requirements, and ongoing development through training and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
