Job Summary
Tech-Advisor (Technician/Advisor) at VIP in Stratham, NH combines service-writer and installation-technician duties to deliver VIP’s customer-experience standards. Responsibilities include handling counter consultations and vehicle condition explanations based on MPI inspections, performing vehicle service tasks, achieving higher customer engagement and productive billed hours, completing LMS training and vendor training, and obtaining and maintaining ASE, BATS, TPMS, and related certifications while ensuring safety, facility, and compliance with service codes. The role requires strong verbal and written communication, organizational skills, automotive servicing knowledge, and the ability to work cross-functionally with the team; standard schedule is 5 days/40 hours per week; hourly pay type.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
