Job Summary
Tech-Advisor role supporting the Service Manager to deliver VIP customer experiences and high-performance results. Responsibilities include working at the counter as a service writer, assisting in the shop as a technician, completing required training and certification for Service Writer and Installation Technician, engaging customers about vehicle conditions, educating customers on VIP processes, and achieving productivity through billed hours. The position requires safety compliance, participation in LMS and vendor training, and obtaining certifications such as BATS, TPMS, and multiple ASE credentials (C1, A4, A5, plus related licenses). Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills are essential, with the role involving daily participation in store meetings and adherence to VIP standards and procedures. The work environment is a service department with potential exposure to variable conditions, and the role requires in-person presence in South Portland, ME.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
