Job Summary
Tech-Advisor role at VIP Seabrook involves serving both the counter as a service writer and the shop as a technician, delivering VIP-standard customer experiences, ensuring safety, communicating effectively with the team, and achieving billed-hours productivity. Responsibilities include educating customers on vehicle conditions based on MPI inspections, taking work orders, completing services per VIP standards, obtaining and maintaining multiple ASE certifications (C1, P2, G1, A4, A5), participating in LMS and vendor trainings, maintaining facility and equipment, ensuring compliance with ethics and regulations, and coordinating with management to uphold service standards. The position requires driving license, automotive servicing knowledge, strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, and a typical 5-day, 40-hour work week with hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
