Job Summary
Tech-Advisor role at VIP Auto Service in Saco, ME combines service-writer and installation-technician responsibilities to deliver VIP-approved customer experiences. Responsibilities include working at the counter to educate customers on vehicle conditions based on MPI inspections, performing services in the shop per VIP standards, maintaining safety training, achieving higher customer engagement and productivity, completing LMS and vendor trainings, obtaining and maintaining ASE and related certifications (C1, P2, G1, A4, A5), and ensuring facility and equipment maintenance, compliance with service codes, and participation in daily huddles and meetings. The position emphasizes communication, teamwork, safety, and adherence to VIP processes.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
