Job Summary
Tech-Advisor combines service writer and installation technician duties to deliver a VIP customer experience, safety compliance, and high performance through executing VIP programs and standards. Responsibilities include consulting with customers at the counter, educating them about vehicle conditions based on MPI inspection, taking work orders as assigned, completing services per VIP standards, maintaining safety, and achieving higher billed hours. Requires completion of LMS and vendor training, becoming certified in BATS, TPMS, and ASE (C1, plus recommended P2, G1, A4, A5), along with maintaining the facility and equipment, adhering to the service Code of Ethics, and participating in trainings and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
