Job Summary
Tech-Advisor role combines responsibilities of a Service Writer and Installation Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience and maintain VIP program standards. Responsibilities include assisting customers at the counter with vehicle conditions based on MPI inspections, taking work orders, performing required services, completing LMS and vendor trainings, and achieving productivity targets through customer engagement. The role requires certification exposure (ASE C1, P2, G1, A4, A5), BATS and TPMS qualifications where applicable, and the ability to communicate effectively, train others, and maintain safety and facility standards. The position schedules 40 hours per week, with a focus on safety, process adherence, and delivering a higher level of customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comprehensive understanding of automotive servicing and the industry
