Job Summary
Tech-Advisor position at VIP Automotive in Norway, ME focused on delivering exceptional customer experience by integrating service-writing and installation-technology duties. Responsibilities include safely maintaining the workplace, communicating with customers to educate them on vehicle conditions per MPI inspections, fulfilling service-writing and installation-technician duties, completing LMS and vendor trainings, achieving VIP productivity targets, and upholding VIP processes and standards. The role requires familiarity with automotive servicing, strong communication and teamwork, and multiple ASE certifications (including C1, P2, G1, A4, A5), BATS TPMS certifications, and relevant state inspections. Standard schedule is five days with 40 hours per week; requires ongoing training, certifications, and adherence to service codes of ethics and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
