Job Summary
Tech-Advisor seeks to deliver exceptional customer experience at VIP location by functioning across service writer and installation technician duties, enabling effective communication, safety adherence, and team collaboration. Responsibilities include counter service, vehicle condition education based on MPI inspection, performing shop technician duties as needed, completing required training and certifications (including BATS TPMS, ASE), supporting the 5-for-5 customer education process, maintaining VIP processes, participating in safety and facility upkeep, and ensuring compliance with service codes and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes customer engagement, achievement of billed hours, mentorship and cross-training across service writer and installation technician tasks, and ongoing participation in management-led trainings and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
