Job Summary
Tech-Advisor role in Londonderry, NH combines service-writing and technical duties to deliver VIP customer experiences. Responsibilities include counter service to educate customers on vehicle conditions based on MPI inspections, performing shop duties as a technician when needed, achieving higher customer engagement and productive billed hours, completing LMS and vendor trainings, obtaining and maintaining ASE certifications (including C1, P2, G1, A4, A5), and ensuring compliance with VIP processes, safety standards, and service codes. The role requires teamwork, effective communication, learning VIP processes, and supporting the Service Manager to deliver a superior customer experience. Work environment is an indoor service department with standard five-day, 40-hour weeks; includes facility and equipment maintenance, and participation in regular meetings and training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
